Our Capabilities
Carbon Project Development
Our Carbon team specialises in developing and managing carbon projects. This involves technical analysis to design a Project which maximizes carbon yields and wood production, followed by navigating the complexities of working with the Clean Energy Regulator and other government entities to negotiate the complex approval.
Technical Forestry
Undertaking critical tasks such as forest establishment, management, modelling and valuations, GIS and spatial data management, our technical crew also develop and oversee inventory programs to determine forest yields. With a strong client focus the technicians work to extract the maximum value out of each asset within a sustainable framework.
Forest Operations
SFM’s Operations team ensures all project aspects—from on-ground verification and plantation design to ongoing maintenance—are efficiently managed. The team demonstrates operational excellence through adapting strategies that meet both the environmental and productivity goals of each project, effectively coordinating with technical and compliance teams to maintain high standards.
Compliance, Risk and Sustainability
All SFM’s activities adhere to legal standards and sustainability practices, and we undergo regular, rigorous auditing, maintaining our reputation as a responsible and ethical manager of natural assets.
Corporate Services
Having experienced in-house resources for legal, finance, marketing and administration is central to our ability to support the team and assess the economic viability of carbon forestry projects, as well as the ability to navigate the complexities of various regulations and legislation related to the industry. This expertise supports strategic decision making and helps optimise investment outcomes.
